The French program uses a technique called The Gesture Approach to teach new vocabulary. Every new word has a specific gesture associated with it. Practising these gestures is an important part of French class and is sometimes done using different games. These pictures show a group of students trying to get a classmate to guess which word is being gestured.
The LE1 and LE3 level one students had fun dancing along with a French Disco video, while learning the names of body parts and different actions in French.
For the month of September the “Students of the Month” were Sofia, Aryana, Mehar, Asees and Aryan. This title is awarded to the student in each level that makes the best effort to speak only French in class. “Est-ce que tu as parlé seulement en français aujourd’hui?” –(Did you speak only French today?). We will soon find out who the winners are for October.
