Riddhi wanted to share the “star block set” she learned in her Karate class, with the children in Casa 4.
Milania’s grandma, Tejas’, and Soham’s mom and return-readers Jovahn’s and Dhun’s mom, ended the month of November on an a special note. In conclusion, we would like to thank each and every parent who participated in our November Parent Guest Reader Month for building a sense of community within the walls of Casa 4.
Once again we would like to thank Riddhi’s, Armaan’s, Harleen’s, and Ryan’s mom as well as Isla’s dad for sharing their love of reading with the children in Casa 4.p
A few Level Three students from LE, came to listen to the Casa 4 students read their phonetic readers. We look forward to having these amazing reading buddies join us again next Thursday.
Several Level One, LE students visited and took on the role of mentoring the students in Casa 4 today. Some of the mentors worked side by side with the children, read books to them, and even assisted them with their work. The students in Casa 4 enjoyed seeing their old friends. They look forward to seeing them again next week.
November 15th marked THE 50th DAY OF SCHOOL! What better way to commemorate this half way point, than to have a special staff member like Ms. Huque, who works in the front office, be our guest reader?
Ms. Huque’s sense of humour shone through when she managed to find a book in our school library entitled, “What School Secretaries Do When No One Is Looking”.
This is somewhat of an I Spy game. Can you spot Ms. Huque sitting between all the children in the Casa 4?
This week we would like to thank Alexander’s, Ayva’s, Liv’s, Sarina’s, and Tristan’s mom and Krisha’s dad for taking the time to come into our classroom to read to the children.
On November 2nd Ryan courageously played his tablas for his friends in Casa 4.
