What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to be one with Nature? Casa 4 children heard, saw, and touched many things on a guided Nature walk through some trails at Kortright. The children heard several different bird calls and even the chatter of a red squirrel. Most of the children saw insects, ducks, Canada geese, swallows, a cardinal, and a red squirrel. Some children were lucky enough to spot a chipmunk and a couple of bluejays. They went on a nature hunt collecting leaves, seed pods, twigs, soil etc., which they touched with their bare hands. It was definitely an Earth Day they will remember!
