The cabins are rustic and cozy, the children, for the most part, are tucked in their sleeping bags. Some night hawks are still playing cards or telling stories, but everyone is safe and accounted for. After a excellent dinner of roasted potatoes, fried chicken (some veggie soy nuggets for some of us) and boiled carrots, we played an epic game of night CTF (Capture the Flag) across the camp grounds.
Not sure who came up with the idea to let 90 kids run around and chase each other in the black of night, but it was a thrilling experience for both the staff and students! We did suffer a casualty though: a headlamp was lost in the battle, and our search parties failed to uncover any trace of our light-producing companion. Fear not, the rising of the sun will surly aid us as the search continues. Stay posted for updates on that one folks.
Following the CTF battle, we had a campfire and enjoyed a night snack of mini bagels and cream cheese and some juice.
Can’t wait for tomorrow. It’s going to be huge!
