I really want to write: We don’t blog because we are too busy having fun!
But I can’t help but ask:
How does a rapping competition spontaneously turn into two groups of students singing their national anthems together on a boat, as the sun sets over New York City???
We started this sunny, fantastic morning at the Museum of Natural History where many of us marvelled at the immensity of the world’s largest creature, as we stood under a life sized blue whale, examined the origins of humans, or looked at the biggest meteorite on display in a museum.
The students REALLY enjoyed their “fantastical” acting classes–which brought out many a true character! They got to meet and chat with two of the performers from Memphis. (Which was AWESOME–as some might say…)
We hustled over to NBC for a tour and got to stand in the studio where the Today Show takes place.
After dinner at Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. we all participated in a group “New York Marathon” (after an unexpected delay at dinner…)A sea of read shirts descended on the peer as we ran to catch our boat. It turns out they can all run– downhill at least!
Thank goodness we made it to out boat tour of the New York skyline…because for many, it rivalled Memphis as a trip highlight!
We went on a boat, right, and we met 5 new friends and their names are Neil, Zack, Curtis, Chris and Josh.
My highlight was NBC–wait it was NBC right?- (yes)…when we went to NBC the tour was really exciting we got to go on the set of the Today Show…
The cruise was awesome!
We cruised the whole skyline of Manhattan…it was a great way to end the trip.
Fantastic trip!…And I made some new American friends today. It was an awesome way to end the trip!
Seeing a blue whale-actual size…and the cruise was fun.
Mine was seeing the Memphis actors and them telling us about their experiences.
Drama! (Bounce! Bounce!)
Today was a spectacular day starting with the museum and acting classes and ending with a breathtaking cruise. Great day! Great memories!
